offering prayers to some fellow Pinoys

Every so often, I am able to search the web on recent news reports regarding fellow Filipinos.

Two stories touched my heart today.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Dr. Edna Makabenta, a Filipina mom of three shot and killed at her Las Vegas office this past week.

Also, in the news was the case of Arcelie Laoagan, a Canadian woman who was brutally murdered a year ago in Calgary. Laoagan was working in Calgary in hopes of petitioning her husband and children from the Philippines to join her in Canada.

Such sad news regarding some fellow Pinays. I hope you all will also say a little prayer for their families today.
