jollibee buzzing in the big apple!
just saw this on angryasianman.com:
"New York, rejoice. You're getting a Jollibee. Over the weekend, Filipino Americans in Woodside, Queens welcomed its very own Jolllibee, the Filipino fast food chain restaurant -- the first location on the East Coast: Fast Food for the Filipino Soul."
the only times i've ever eaten at jollibee were with family in some enormous mall in manila between shopping and ice skating. i know. random!? and i remember being shocked that my grandmother's spaghetti was a knock off of the jollibee recipe. :) ma sarap!
personally, i hope chicago is the next stop for jollibee. and hopefully, jane and john q. newyork like the menu items better than these folks. eek.
btw - is it just me or are those four caucasian kids (twirlie, hetty, popo and yum) in "jollietown" with the pilipino accents??

I had tossed this up on Twitter earlier this week because I was eccstatic over Jollibee's coming to the East Coast! Now if only they were to open a location in Cleveland...
Scratch beneath the surface, the image - sometimes what you will find is a surprise - sometimes not.
Scratch away . . .
Hi, I think the correct spelling should be Jollitown!
I live in woodside, queens and am priviledge to have Jolibee...But my gosh!!! the prices is like your buying gold---- and pinoys are buying it even if they have to travel from new jersey on 2 hour trains rides, just to get there...as for me, i've only been there once since it opened.....not so big on fast food even if I'm pinoy...!...and did you also know that Red Ribbon also opened in woodside this year begining 2010.
